About this care
About Massage Therapy
Registered Massage Therapy at Fittopia Health Care is hands-on treatment of the muscles, connective tissue, and joints, delivered by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) registered with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC). Every session opens with a short assessment of posture and movement, then a treatment plan built around your goals, with pressure adjusted to your comfort throughout.
Treatment draws on a blend of techniques rather than one fixed routine, and can be coordinated with Fittopia's other services when that fits your care. Registered Massage Therapy runs at both Fittopia locations, the Wellness Studio clinic on No. 3 Road and Fittopia Fitness Center on Alderbridge Way, at the same session lengths and fees, each booked on its own online booking site. Massage therapy supports muscle tension, pain, and recovery as part of a broader picture of care; it is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.

Your first visit with Parry
A first visit with Parry begins with a conversation about your health history and what brought you in, followed by a look at your posture and movement. From there, Parry builds a treatment plan and explains what the session will involve before any hands-on work begins.
During treatment, you undress only to your own comfort level and are properly draped throughout, with only the area being worked on exposed; pressure is adjusted to what feels right for you, and you are always welcome to ask for more or less. You leave with simple home-care guidance and, if a follow-up suits your goals, a suggested cadence, never a push for more visits than you need.

Massage Therapy FAQs
Do I need a doctor's referral to book massage therapy?
No referral is needed to book directly with a Registered Massage Therapist in BC. Some extended health plans require one for reimbursement, so it is worth checking your plan details first.
Do you provide receipts or direct billing?
Yes. Every visit comes with an official receipt for your extended health plan, including your practitioner's registration number. Direct billing is rolling out now, with Sun Life live today and more insurers being onboarded; see the Insurance page for the current list.
