About this care
About Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy at Fittopia Health Care is provided by Registered Physiotherapists with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC). Care is assessment-first: your physiotherapist takes the time to understand your history and watch how you move before building a treatment plan around your goals.
Treatment is delivered one-on-one and can combine hands-on therapy with progressive exercise, so each visit ends with a clear next step. Physiotherapy supports recovery from injury, persistent pain, and movement limitations; it works alongside, not in place of, other medical care.

Your first visit with Johnny
Your first visit with Johnny is an assessment: a detailed history, then a look at how you move, before treatment begins the same day. Most people book the 60-minute initial assessment, though a shorter option is also available.
From there, Johnny builds a plan around your goals, which may include manual therapy, exercise prescription, dry needling, or Clinical Pilates, explained before anything is used. You leave with a clear picture of what is going on and what to work on before your next visit.

Physiotherapy FAQs
Do I need a doctor's referral to book physiotherapy?
No referral is needed. Some extended health plans require a doctor's referral before reimbursing physiotherapy, so check your plan before your first visit.
Do you provide receipts or direct billing?
Yes. Every visit comes with an official receipt for your extended health plan, including your practitioner's registration number. Direct billing is rolling out now, with Sun Life live today and more insurers being onboarded; see the Insurance page for the current list.
